To remove H2 gas from molten aluminum, a silicon nitride pipe is used to feed the N2 or Ar gas. As silicon nitride rotor is used to stir and disperse the gas throughout the molten aluminum.
● Unlike graphite, the silicon nitride is hardly eroded by oxygen at elevated temperatures. This permits long operating life.
● High density and high strength assure reliable and stable operation in high speed rotation.
● High thermal shock resistance allows repeated insertion and withdrawal from molten aluminum in batch operation.
The vertical accuracy of the degassing rotor should be adjusted when it is installed, and it should run away from the liquid surface for 5-10 seconds when it is stopped to avoid too much adhesion of molten aluminum. Frequent cleaning and maintenance.
Confirm whether there is vibration or noise on the rotating shaft of the degassing rotor. The standard for adjusting the vibration of the rotating shaft is: within 2mm of the front end of the shaft. The core vibration measurement position range is within 50mm from the front end of the shaft.
Once the rotor core is found to be shaken, the bolts need to be loosened and confirmed with a dial indicator. Adjust the bolts to ensure that the core does not shake. If there is a noise, check whether the bolts are loose. If you find that the bolts are loose, you need to adjust and tighten the bolts appropriately.
Note that the deaeration rotor cannot rotate in reverse. Reverse rotation may cause the impeller to fall off, which is very dangerous. When rotating, make sure that the direction of rotation of the rotor is consistent with the direction marked on the rotor.
